2 Beacon Development (“2 Beacon,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of customers and users of our software and website. This Privacy Policy explains the categories of information our products may access, how that information is used, and the choices available to customers.

Information used by 2 Beacon Commerce Sync

When a customer authorizes 2 Beacon Commerce Sync, the software may access information from the customer-controlled WordPress/WooCommerce environment and from the customer-selected QuickBooks Online company. Depending on the enabled features, this may include company information, customers, products and services, chart-of-account information, order and transaction data, payment-method references, taxes, refunds, and other accounting or commerce data needed to provide the requested integration.

OAuth and authentication information

QuickBooks Online access is authorized using Intuit OAuth. The software may store OAuth access and refresh tokens and related connection identifiers in the customer’s connected application environment so it can make authorized API requests. Customers should never send passwords, Intuit client secrets, or OAuth tokens to 2 Beacon by ordinary email.

How information is used

• To connect authorized WooCommerce and QuickBooks Online systems.
• To display, map, preview, synchronize, diagnose, and support authorized business data.
• To prevent duplicate transactions and maintain synchronization history.
• To provide troubleshooting information and maintain service security.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce product terms.

Data sharing and sale

2 Beacon does not sell customer accounting data, OAuth credentials, WooCommerce customer information, or QuickBooks Online data. Information is shared only as needed to provide the requested integration, operate supporting infrastructure, comply with law, protect security, or when directed by the customer.

Data storage and retention

2 Beacon products may store configuration, mappings, application settings, reports, diagnostics, and product-specific records in the customer-controlled environment where the software is installed. The WordPress version of 2 Beacon Commerce Sync stores its configuration, mappings, connection information, and diagnostic records within the customer-controlled WordPress environment unless a future product feature expressly states otherwise. Business records may also remain in WooCommerce and QuickBooks Online under the customer’s own retention policies. Diagnostic information is retained only as reasonably necessary for operation, troubleshooting, security, and compliance.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and application-level safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is guaranteed to be completely secure, and customers remain responsible for maintaining secure WordPress hosting, administrator accounts, updates, backups, and access controls.

Disconnecting and customer choices

Customers may disconnect QuickBooks Online through the 2 Beacon connection interface and may also revoke application access through Intuit when available. Disconnecting stops future authorized API access but does not automatically erase accounting records already created, WooCommerce source records, backups, or records required for legal or business purposes.

Website information

Our public website may receive standard server logs, browser/device information, IP addresses, and information users choose to submit through support or contact methods. We use this information to operate the website, respond to requests, detect abuse, and improve security.

Children

2 Beacon business software is intended for organizations and authorized business users and is not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our products, legal requirements, or security practices change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
